Our Mission: To explore, enjoy and protect the wold places of the earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment; and to use all lawful means to carry out those objectives.
 
 

 

The Bluegrass Group of the Sierra Club encompasses the Central Kentucky Region and is a part of the Cumberland Chapter Sierra Club. The Bluegrass Group area includes in the inner Bluegrass region, including Fayette, Woodford, Clark, Jessamine, Madison, Burbon, Scott county and more. We have over 1000 members within our 22 county region.

Within our Group we have a divers series of programs including conservation projects, our outings program, political and lobbying work, Inner City Outings for at-risk youth, beginning backpack classes and more.
