Big Bone Lick State Park Boone County, KY |
Easy to Moderate |
| KY’s trail service at Big Bone Lick State Park expanded in 2007 to cover all the trails in Big Bone, including two new trails blazed by the NKY Group in the past few years which added about 1.5 miles to the prior 3.5. Service outings in 2008 will do routine trail repairs and maintenance, installation of more signs and maybe a sitting bench. Outings start early to avoid afternoon heat, usually ending around noon. Wear weather-appropriate work clothing and work gloves. Bring your own liquids and trail snacks as desired. Restrooms can be ? hr walk.
The work is easy to moderate. Beginners are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The leader will wait no longer than 15 minutes for latecomers, so don’t be late unless you know where we’ll be working that day. RSVP to the leader by noon on Friday, June 20 and include e-mail and phone contact information. The leader will respond by late Friday by e-mail or phone call about the next-day’s tasks, including requests for bringing tools.
