Service Trip | John Robbins 859- 363-0376 |
Big Bone Lick State Park Boone County, Kentucky |
Easy to Moderate |
NKY’s trail service at Big Bone Lick State Park covers about five miles of mostly wooded hilly trails, including two blazed by the NKY group. Service outings in 2009 will do routine trail repairs and upkeep especially weed-whipping and bush and branch trimming. Expect the work crew to leave the meet-up location 15-20 minutes after scheduled start, so don’t come late unless you know where we’ll be working. Wear weather-appropriate work clothing, shoes with good treads, and work gloves. Bring your own liquids and trail snacks as desired. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Provide email and phone # in RSVP by noon on the Thursday before the trip. Expect a call or email by mid-Friday about the next day’s tasks, tools and meet-up location. In the event of a rain-out, this trip will be re-scheduled for Saturday, July 18. Rating: easy to moderate, suitable for beginners, sometimes including labor in cool, damp, hot or humid conditions |
