2014 General Elections

2014 General Election - November 4th, 6AM - 6PM Local Time

The Cumberland Chapter’s Political Committee conducts thorough reviews of all candidates based on their environmental history, voting records and policy positions through candidate interviews and responses to candidate questionnaires. Individuals selected for endorsements received a two-third majority vote from at least two Sierra Club committees of elected leaders in order to be approved.

We recommend a vote for the following candidates.

U.S. Senate

The political committee chose not to make a recommendation in the race for U.S. Senate.

U.S. House

  1. Rep. John Yarmuth: U.S. House, Ky Congressional District 3

State Senate

No recommendations.

State House

  1. Ashley Miller: Ky House District 32
  2. Rep. Mary Lou Marzian: Ky House District 34
  3. Rep. Jim Wayne: Ky House District 35
  4. Rep. Reginald Meeks : Ky House District 42
