MACED Report: The Impact of Coal on the Kentucky State Budget
MACED's report "The Impact of Coal on the Kentucky State Budget" compares the tax revenues generated by the coal industry in Kentucky with the state expenditures associated with supporting the industry. For 2006, the report estimates that Kentucky provided a net subsidy of nearly $115 million to the coal industry.
